My best watchI have a Breitling that I like, but it’s not as accurate as my Steinhart Ocean One that I’ve owned for a couple years now and which has replaced the former as my go-to, day to day watch. At a glance, some people mistake it for a Rolex, and I’m always happy to tell them it’s just as good for a tenth of the price!

An unbelievable timepieceThis watch is absolutely amazing.I have owned 5 watches from steinhart and all have been equally as great.The build quality the feel and the accuracy is as good as any "High end watch brand" if not better.ok it looks similar to other well known more expensive brands but surley over time the other brands have taken inspiration from earlier watches themselves,I simply cannot afford a submariner but I can feel just as proud if not more than sombody who thinks, their watch as a brand is better, it is more expensive yes,but the steinhart is as equally made in my opinion and will soon be as equally recognised, now is the time to buy the watch of the future

One of the best day to day divers on the wrist.Watch collector and Master Diver, I actively dive my Ocean One 42mm.Because it wraps around a semi-dry wetsuit ,I take off
the steel strap and put on a 22mm tropic band from Watch Gecko. It's larger than a Rolex Submariner, the font is thicker on the bezel
than the Submariner therefor in my opinion the Ocean One looks a whole lot better. Nice tight ratchet bezel, easy to read dial, waterproof to 300m,
has some good weight to it with German engineering and looks bloody good on the wrist.
The service from Steinhart is second to none, their people on the phone are lovely and they strive for quick satisfactory results for their customers.
I also own the Ocean One Vintage Military 42mm-had some solid lugs fixed and purchased a 22mm admiral grey NATO strap from Phoenix straps, now
I have my very own Milsub...which is also dived unlike all surviving 5517's. Bottom line....Treat yourself to one of these timepieces!!!!Posted on

Unbelievable Watch for the PriceI once owned a Rolex Submariner. It never kept good time, not even close. I realize automatics are not as accurate as a quartz movement but the amount of time the Rolex lost in a week exceeded 2 minutes. My only option at the time was to send it back to Rolex for calibration which would take months. Consequently, I never really bonded with the watch even though I had yearned for one for years. I ended up selling it.
I always wanted to replace it with a diver style watch that was more of an homage to the Submariner. After years of looking I stumbled upon the Steinhart Ocean One. I purchased the stainless steel version which I think looks better than the ceramic bezel. I could not be happier!!
My Ocean One stays on my wrist 24/7 only taking it off to shower. (The steam from a shower will get into any diver watch. The watches are water proof, not steam proof.). It keeps far better time than my Rolex did, gaining only a few seconds daily, when fully wound.
I cannot believe such a fine watch sells for so little. Sure, it is not a Rolex but it looks great on my wrist and my ego has not suffered one bit.
Ordering a Steinhart from the U.S. was easy and very fast. I received my watch in less than seven days which was a shocker! I highly recommend Steinhart watches. I now have my eye on an Ocean One GMT in stainless steel.
