Unlike today, the first diver's watches were very large and provided the diver with no other additional functions except the display of the current time. It wasn't until the early 1950s, when the first diver's watches with a rotating bezel had been developed, that enables the diver to safely and accurately monitor the periods of his dives. To this era, in which a now legendary sports watch design was created, we pay tribute with the STEINHART Ocean One Vintage and bow to the technical developments of yesteryear. Above the golden hands and the dark gray dial with luminous paint in "Old Radium" colour bulges the tall sapphire crystal, with its double anti-reflective coating on the inside, reminiscent of the plastic crystals of watches from days gone by. This picture is framed with the new, unidirectional rotating diver's bezel, and the also new stainless steel case, which shines with partially polished and partially finely brushed surfaces. Design of yesterday combined with technology and materials of today, the STEINHART Ocean One Vintage offers its wearer a rugged sports watch for everyday use, with a vintage look that makes one look at the watch, even when one already knows what time it is.

3-Year ReviewBought this watch in 2019. Very nice. Excellent example of independent design of style and class. However, if it were 40-41 mm in diameter, it would have been better. The dial is unique. The hands are sharp and crisp. The crystal is beautifully domed. Accuracy is beyond my expectation. On average it is of +/- 1 second per day. Yes! +/- 1 second per day. I have other watches that don’t come close. For a mechanical watch, extremely accurate - knock on wood. Overall, beautiful design and a very accurate mechanical movement.
Steinhart customer service via mail in the United States has been nothing but excellent. The service is comparable to none.

Great Bond homageWith the case and glass reminiscent of the watch from the movie Dr No and the dial and hands of the watch Ian Flemming describes Bond sporting in Casino Royal this watch is a copy of neither, and a tribute to both. Looks amazing with its steel bracelet or a grey and khaki nato strap. A fine movement especially in the price range, it is a beautiful time piece all around.

Nice watch but too big on my 180mm wrist.This Ocean one vintage looks very nice & quality is well built but the lug to lug length too long 52mm if 48mm & below will be nicely fit on my 180mm wrist because lug too straight hanging above don't hug the wrist.
Bought on 2014 but seldom wear still looks like new.
Like the design especially the highly Dome crystal & colour matching & fewer text on dial very clean vintage look.Posted on
