The homage watches are great, but the Steinhart original designs are where it's at.
The ocean 2 is built like a tough strong modern diver - and yet the sawtooth non-ceramic bezel gives it a retro vibe.
The fully lumed sapphire glass bezel is what makes this watch. It's incredibly original and operates smoothly with no lash.
The watch wears smaller than you'd think, a fact helped put by the slight lug wrap.
No annoying pin removal is required to as adjust the bracelet, easy screw links are used.
The sapphire caseback and custom gold rotor are simply a joy.
Execution is flawless and equal to some other 2k price point watches in my collection.
